Actually Aion is still going, but the initial "rush" is indeed over. Aion 2.0 is coming soon. I'm not playing it though. It was too much of a grind for me past lvl 20. But some people enjoy digging their eyes out with a Taco Bell spork. So they're still playing it.

So far Mythic still hasn't done enough to bring me back although I am watching all the patches and changes that are being implemented. They're really going to have to improve the classes in order to even get me to try it again. I see too many throw away skills and too many worthless skill trees across pretty much every class in the game. Mythic still has a long way to go in my book.

I've played through Dragon Age 1.85 times so far and I think I'm getting close to beating GTA IV. Last night Actarus and I tried out DDO. Since it is F2P I figured why not. There is no real PvP to speak of, but so far it has been fun. I am only lvl 2 (out of 20) though :D

Mythic sure could do better but they have made a lot of improvements and we sure do have fun as a group. We will always welcome you back.

You know you do have a 10-day credit that you can use at any time, due to you being a past subscriber. That is one way to see how the mechanics work now, without committing anything by a week and a half of your time....for free.

indeed aion is a grind i finally decided i couldnt endure anymore. the penalty for death accidental or otherwise is brutal and i frankly dont have the time or will to continue to fight this nonsense. i made it to 40 on my glad and 25 on my templar before i decided this. in addition the pvp is not to my liking either...thats a biggie. So i embrace WAR again ...and the thrill of battle once again with friends.

I despise death penalty as well. Especially when it wipes out hard work that you did earlier on in a game. Games are supposed to be fun and although a little bit of challenge can be a good thing, death in my opinion is punishment enough in and of itself. A poor design choice to be sure.

To be honest I didn't get to experience much PvP in Aion. The little I did experience was more annoying than it was fun.

I'm keeping an eye on WAR still. But like I stated earlier, it will take some more positive changes from the devs to bring me back. For now much of my attention is focused on DDO where myself, Actarus, and Marylune along with Hootch, Krae, and Jedai from BPR are rolling our attacks with virtual dice and keeping our eyes out for traps and secret doors. :ugeek

groan,

I think it is safe to banish this whole forum to the archive area. I doubt it will see much use anymore. I don't think anyone will protest its demise.
